The cross
Sour Diesel supplies the sharp fuel and the clear, driving effect that built the East Coast reputation. Nothing has replaced it, and nothing smells like it.
The Jack Herer side is a cut we have run from a 1998 seed start. She throws heavy, thick colas under a piney lemon-pepper nose, on a tall open frame with very little leaf to trim. She is a light feeder and holds up well against mold, which matters on a plant that runs this long.
Fuel over pine and lemon pepper is the target. Both parents are sativa-leaning and both stretch, so this is a cross for growers who plan for height rather than fight it.
What to look for in Sour Diesel x Jack Herer seeds
- Flip early and get the trellis in before you need it. Both sides stretch hard.
- Fuel and lemon pepper should both be present. Plants that lose one side are half the cross.
- Watch trichomes rather than the calendar. Sativa-leaning crosses reward a patient harvest.
- Open structure and low leaf count make trimming far easier. Favor the plants that inherit it.
The Jack Herer side runs in our clone catalog as Jack Herer. Same father, different mother: Gelato 33 x Jack Herer seeds.
