The cross
Gelato 33 is the dessert standard — sweet cream, tight cookie structure, heavy trichome coverage. Sherbinski crossed Sunset Sherbet to Thin Mint GSC and pulled the thirty-third plant out of that hunt. Half the dessert menu on the West Coast traces back to her.
Jack Herer pulls hard the other way. Our cut runs from a 1998 seed start — thick resinous colas under a piney lemon-pepper nose, tall and open branching with very little leaf on the flower. She is a light feeder and holds up well against mold pressure.
The interesting outcome is a Gelato terpene profile on a plant that breathes. Dense dessert genetics struggle in humid rooms. Jack Herer structure does not, and it trims far faster.
What to look for in Gelato 33 x Jack Herer seeds
- Structure is the reason to run this cross. Favor the open, well-spaced plants over the tightest ones.
- Look for candidates that keep Gelato sweetness with citrus and pine layered over it.
- Effect should land brighter than a straight Gelato. Sample before committing a mother.
- Finish times spread widely here. Tag flowering dates from week eight.
The Jack Herer side runs in our clone catalog as Jack Herer, and we keep a selection of this pairing as J33. Same father, different mother: Sour Diesel x Jack Herer seeds.
